Le Page Architects were commissioned to design a new bespoke cocktail bar for the popular Refectory cocktail lounge at Plymouth Gin Distillery.
The long timber bar with roll top edge forms a statement feature to the lounge area, with a lit back bar bottle display and tiered counter top shelving arrangement to exhibit an array of spirits and mixers. Working within the fabric of the listed building required careful consideration with regards to the fixtures and fittings of the new bar, all of which were specified and detailed to a high standard.
A key client requirement in order to meet the demand of busy weekend periods was to incorporate specific equipment and storage facilities for the cocktail waiters. The design encompasses an effective working and serving area sufficient for several staff.
