Simon Crosbie
CIAT MA Arch Cons, Director
Simon specialises in historic building and conservation projects and has considerable experience in the sector. His portfolio includes project assessments, site and condition surveys and feasibility studies. He undertakes project and contract management roles as well as on-site supervision. For the last ten years he has worked extensively on a number of historically significant buildings throughout the region including Royal William Yard, Plymouth Cathedral and Plymouth Gin Distillery.
Simon’s recent historic refurbishment work has focused on delivering low-energy architectural solutions whilst preserving the historic fabric and delivering modern solutions for historical problems.
Simon is well-known for his drive, passion and enthusiasm for architecture and dedication to the clients with which he works.
Damon Pearce
BA (Hons) BArch RIBA, Director
Before establishing Le Page Architects with Simon Crosbie, Damon worked with some of the profession’s most distinguished architectural practices including Foster + Partners and Lifschutz Davidson (Sandilands).
Damon has worked on a number of landmark and legacy projects which have been significant in urban, environmental, historical and functional terms. These have included high specification mixed-use developments, new build London headquarters for a multinational insurance firm and the redesign of the central courtyard space to an internationally renowned museum and gallery.
Damon has extensive experience in the design and delivery of large-scale commercial and institutional projects and undertaken the AECB CarbonLite certified Passivhaus Designer training linked to the Passivhaus Institute in Germany. Damon studied at the Oxford School of Architecture and the Liverpool School of Architecture and Building Engineering before qualifying in 1999.
Charlotte Kelshall
BA (Hons) PG Dip, Architectural Interior Designer
Charlotte an Associate member of the British Institute of Interior Design, works in both commercial and residential sectors.
After graduating from University College Falmouth with a first-class honours degree in Spatial Design, Charlotte worked in architectural practices before completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Architectural Interior Design at the prestigious Inchbald School of Design in London.
With a holistic approach to interior design and architecture, Charlotte works closely with clients to develop comprehensive design schemes, involving the production of specifications for interior finishes, fittings and lighting layouts, as well as the design and detailing of bespoke furniture. Her work includes both contemporary and listed building schemes, managing projects from concept design through to completion with creativity and keen eye for detail.
Charlotte Shobrook
Senior Conservation Architect
Charlotte is a Chartered RIBA Architect as well as having AABC (Architects Accredited in Building Conservation) accreditation. Working with historic buildings has been a large part of Charlotte’s career, with over 15 year’s experience. Her passion is restoring and enhancing historical buildings to bring them back to life so that they can be enjoyed by future generations.
Charlotte’s role encompasses a wide variety of work, from developing schemes at concept design stage through to construction and post occupancy. She has a wide range of experience in private residential, conservation, ecclesiastical and larger commercial projects, which has enabled her to expand her knowledge of building techniques and design approaches.
Grant Elliott
Senior Conservation Architect
Grant is a Senior Conservation Architect with over 30 years’ experience working with historic building. His work involves guiding projects from initial concept through planning, listed building consent, technical design, site construction and completion.
Notable projects include the transformation of a Victorian farm into a children’s hospice at Charlton Farm, North Somerset, which was shortlisted for the Civic Trust and Landscape Institute Awards. Grant also led the design of a new restaurant and visitor centre at The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, which involved the sensitive refurbishment of a collection of listed barns. Other projects include the residential conversion of Grade II listed buildings such as Caerleon Teacher Training College and Derby Lace Works, as well as the refurbishment of the Great Western Railway Hotel in Taunton.
Grant is highly experienced in ecclesiastical work and is admitted with the Dioceses of Truro, Exeter, Bath & Wells, Salisbury and Carlisle as an Inspector, authorised to carry out quinquennial inspections, reordering and repair work to Churches throughout the Westcountry.
