Pendragon House, Cornwall

The house dates back to Medieval time although a major alteration was made to the layout in 1851.Using historic ecclesiastical records the external fabric has been fully restored and the internal space refurbished to meet the needs of the modern family now occupying it.

The clients brief was one of high specification with the refurbishment of the historic fabric taking precedent over any change. Where change occurred it was in keeping with the house to the highest standard of workmanship and only ever to enhance the internal rooms.

Using traditional materials and skilled craftsmen the interior and exterior roof & fabric have restored incorporating sustainable energy systems to heat the property yet allow the equilibrium of the historic fabric to remain largely unaltered.

Internally, a new main library have been formed with a secret bookcase door as well as a new central staircase Lantern light completed with hand cast plasterwork.

A new Cornish granite Portico is currently being constructed to the western entrance formalising the restored main hallway ahead of the landscaping phase of the project.
