Working with Westcountry Stonemasons, Le Page Architects are delighted to have completed a major repair project on the tower at the Minster Church of St Andrew, in Plymouth. The huge tower took about 20 lifts of scaffold and the repairs tackled high level repairs to the lead finials and weather vane as well as extensive stone work repair and repointing. Intricate conservation work to the carved niches and statues to north and south formed one of several specialist areas of repair. The clock faces were removed from site for essential repair and renovation. Works were completed well before Christmas which was a major achievement after all the delays caused by COVID in 2020.
