Le Page Architects were commissioned to gain planning approval for the extension and remodelling of this distinctive waterfront property, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty along the Kingsbridge Estuary. The project involved both internal and external alterations, with a design that focused on sensitively enhancing the character of the existing building in a traditional architectural style.

The proposals introduced a new hipped roof first-floor extension, providing an additional bedroom with en-suite bathroom facilities. Remodelling of the ground floor layout, incorporated a new entrance hall with separate practical utility space, and a new orangery extension to seamlessly connect the kitchen to the garden and river views beyond.

Additionally, planning consent was also granted for the installation of a swimming pool and pool house, thoughtfully integrated within the private garden setting of the house.
