Knightshayes Court, Devon
Begun in 1869, Knightshayes Court is listed Grade I and is one of the few surviving works of designer William Burges.
Our brief from the National Trust was to produce a design for the timber and tile roofs of the south east and south west drums of the Walled Garden which had been dismantled in the 1950’s but were part of the Burges scheme. The carpentry work was very intricate and detailed. Special tiles were commissioned for the project and the project went on to win an award.
