Work on Grade 1 listed Church, St. John the Baptist, Paignton is due to complete in time for Christmas. The new Purbeck stone floor is being laid; a band of darker Purbeck stone indicates the line of the former pew platforms.  The project entails a completely new heating scheme and new accessible WC and kitchen facilities in the Church for the first time.
